It explores whether pupils:

  • Feel that school is a place they matter.

Psychological Sense of School Membership Scale (Goodenow, 1993)

Measures pupils’ feelings of acceptance, inclusion and value within the school community. It captures whether pupils:

​

  • Feel respected and accepted by teachers and peers

  • Experience connection rather than exclusion

  • Feel safe being themselves

  • See themselves as part of the school.

ECR–RSS (Fraley et al., 2011)

Assesses pupils’ patterns of trust, security and closeness in relationships.
It captures how pupils:


• Feel safe or anxious in close relationships
• Seek or avoid support when they need help
• Interpret others’ intentions (trust vs. fear of rejection)
• Build secure or insecure connections.
