Inclusion covers two surveys to help your school understand how pupils feel part of your community:

BELONGINGNESS.png
Belonging

School Belongingness Scale (Arslan & Duru, 2017)

Measures pupils’ emotional attachment to school.
It explores whether pupils:

  • Feel cared for and supported

  • Experience their school as welcoming and inclusive

  • See themselves as valued members

  • Feel that school is a place they matter.

CONNECTEDNESS.png
Connectedness

Psychological Sense of School Membership Scale (Goodenow, 1993)

Measures pupils’ feelings of acceptance, inclusion and value within the school community. It captures whether pupils:

  • Feel respected and accepted by teachers and peers

  • Experience connection rather than exclusion

  • Feel safe being themselves

  • See themselves as part of the school.

All surveys comply with UK GDPR; data are anonymised and aggregated.
